Natural Awakenings South Jersey

Letter from the Publisher

Friends,

As we dive headfirst into the festive season, I wanted to take a moment to share a few thoughts with you. While this issue is brimming with wonderful content to enhance your holiday experience, I also want to acknowledge something that we often overlook during this time of year—taking a moment for yourself.

The holidays, as much as we adore them, can sometimes be accompanied by an undercurrent of stress. It’s a time when family dynamics, which are usually kept at bay, may surface, and the empty chairs at the table can remind us of loved ones we’ve lost. The rush to visit multiple homes in a single day, all in the name of fairness, can leave us feeling frazzled and overwhelmed.

But amidst all the hustle and bustle, I want to remind you of something essential: it’s okay to pause. It’s okay to step away from the chaos and take a moment just for yourself. In fact, it’s necessary.

In the midst of this season’s demands, I encourage you to find time to meditate, to breathe deeply and to just be. Whether it’s in the quiet of the early morning or the stillness of the night, carve out a few minutes to reconnect with yourself. Close your eyes, let go of the outside world and focus on your breath. Inhale positivity, exhale negativity.

And as you do, remind yourself of all the things to be grateful for. Despite the challenges, there is always beauty and warmth to be found in this season—the twinkle of holiday lights, the joy of giving, the comfort of traditions and the love of family and friends.

So, dear readers, as you leaf through the pages of this month’s edition, remember to be kind to yourself. Give yourself permission to find solace in the little moments. Let the warmth of gratitude fill your heart. And most importantly, cherish the time you spend with loved ones, for it is in these moments that the true magic of the holidays is found.

Wishing you a season filled with love, laughter and moments of serenity.

With Gratitude,

Shae

Happy Thanksgiving
