Floating lanterns always fascinate me!

When I first saw them, I thought how could they be real … How can lanterns actually fly? They seem so dreamy, romantic and fairytale-like. That is probably why I fell in love with the movie Tangled. A girl saw the floating lights from far away and dreamed of seeing them up close and in person. All the while, she was holding her own beautiful healing light within. She was so inspired by the lights that she was encouraged to leave her tower of doubt, fear and uncertainty, and go out to interact with people, see the world, help others and heal others with her own light.

It was only then that her dreams finally came true. It was only then that she found the love of her life. It was only then that she inherited her true royal heritage. I think the classic story of Rapunzel resides in each of us. We all have a beautiful, talented spirit inside (whether we know it or not), and each of us has a dream budding within.

Visualize it now! See your empowering light and bring it forth to do something good and amazing! You don’t have to wait until you’re older, or feel sorry you’re not younger. You don’t have to wait to have a job, or a family, or a college degree. It’s never too early, it’s never too late. You are filled with light, and if you have the courage to step out from under your fears, then you have the ability to not only bless others with that light, but commence on a journey that will lead you to the dreams and goals that you’ve always wanted.

This is why I am so excited about this issue. Self-empowerment.

In this issue, you will find the best ways to praise kids and boost their self-esteem, tips for walking mindfully and in nature, self-kindness commitments, and five myth busters about meditation. And much, much more.

So open your heart, find that light within—and follow your dreams, shining brightly along the way.

Shine On my friends,

Shae
