Natural Awakenings South Jersey

New Book on Meditation and Spirituality Receives Rave Reviews

Is God in That Bottle Cap? A Search for Truth, by John D. Sambalino, is a true life story of the personal quest for spiritual enlightenment and the many benefits of meditation, based on the author's 44 years of daily meditation, more than 40 years of yoga and tai chi, and more than 20 years of qigong.

“We live in very stressful times,” says the South Jersey author. “While this book can help you learn how to release stress naturally through meditation, it is not a ‘how to’ book and it does not teach you meditation.” It addresses “how meditation can relieve stress and help to make you a happier, healthier, more productive person,” adds Sambalino.

Among the book’s many favorable reviews includes one by Vijayendra Pratap, Ph.D., president of the Yoga Research Society, who says, “I would love to see this book in the hands of practitioners of all paths for self-realization.” And Kirkus Reviews states, “… readers should certainly enjoy this absorbing book. A lively and intensely readable story of one man’s use of a variety of spiritual practices to reveal the nature of reality.”

Given its positive reception, Is God in That Bottle Cap?, published by Vanishing Circle Press, is sure to make a great summer read and should be at the top of one’s summer reading list.
