The Center, Life in Balance, Has Opened Grazing Affair

April Collison, owner of Grazing Affair, began her business last year providing food grazing boards for lunches or dinners or any other size/type of gathering. With her business growing, she required more space.

“We are so excited to welcome April into our community,” enthuses Susan Drummond, co-owner of The Center, Life in Balance, in Medford. “Our clients, as well as the public, have missed having healthy fare to choose from when deciding on lunch or take-home dinner.”

Covering up an old kitchen countertop led to the creation of Collison’s first grazing board for a group of her friends. “The board promotes social dining, bringing people together, creating a truly unique and memorable affair. People find themselves talking about healthy food, some they may not have been aware of, as well as eating it,” explains Collison.

“April’s energy and philosophy fit perfectly with the center’s mission statement, providing services and classes focused on balancing body, mind, spirit,” says Maryann Miller, co-owner of the center. “She also has great respect for the environment growing herbs and vegetables pesticide-free and composting the waste.”

At present, the hours are 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays; more days/hours will be added as needed. Collison is also available for private events held at the center or other venues.
