Natural Awakenings South Jersey

Providing Safe, Natural Solutions for Many Health Problems

Apr 28, 2019 03:12PM ● By Sarah Outlaw, MSACN, M.H., NRTCertified Health Coach, Master Herbalist and Nutrition Response Testing Practitioner

What is your area of practice and how would you summarize what you do?

I am a Nutrition Response Testing Practitioner, Clinical/Functional Nutritionist and Clinical Herbalist. I use a non-invasive form of muscle testing to get to the root cause of symptoms and regain patients’ health without the use of pharmaceutical drugs or surgery. We offer safe, natural solutions to many health problems.

What are the primary benefits to your patients?

Due to our testing being non-invasive it works well for all ages and handles a wide variety of health issues including asthma, allergies, anxiety/depression, attention deficit disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, eczema, premenstrual syndrome, menopause, infertility, digestive issues, adrenal issues, hypo and hyper thyroid, etc.

What inspired you and why did you decide to enter this field?

Watching so many people that I loved lose their battles with illness and wanting something more for myself and my family inspired me to become a holistic healthcare practitioner. I wanted to offer hope!

How long have you been in practice and what areas of specialty interest you?

I have been practicing Nutrition Response Testing specifically for four years. I specialize in women’s and children’s health.

What makes what you do unique and how has your practice evolved?

What makes me unique is the extensive training and clinical experience that I have. My herbal training gives me an edge so that I can approach nutrition programs with more depth than I would without that training and experience. I have also been able to get incredible results with my patients and my practice is one of the fastest growing in the country. I was asked last year to open a satellite office in Des Moines, Iowa, and that office has grown tremendously since opening our doors in February.

What are the most rewarding aspects of your practice?

Seeing people get well that were told that either there was nothing wrong with them by their doctors or that there was nothing but symptom-suppressing medications that could be given. Providing quality care that actually changes people’s health paradigms—that’s my mission and purpose.

How would you answer someone that is skeptical of natural and alternative therapies?

What we do is all biochemistry and physics. We do a thorough job of explaining our procedures at the initial consultation visit and provide information and videos on our website. We know that we can help people. If they are skeptical after all the information given and having Nutrition Response Testing done, then maybe alternative health care isn’t for them. We help people who want to be helped.

What do you most want Natural Awakenings readers to know about you and your approach?

What we do is unique, effective, safe and natural. We can take of any health issue by getting to the root cause.

Tell us a “fun fact” about you!
