How to Heal a Leaky Gut By Determining Food Sensitivities

Many of us suffer on a daily basis from illnesses such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), eczema and autoimmune disease. The cause of suffering is due to inflammation and the solution is to eliminate the reason for the inflammation, often a leaky gut.  What we don’t realize is that we have the ability to heal ourselves, naturally.

With these diseases, your gut lining has become porous, allowing food particles to leak out into the bloodstream. Then, your immune system attacks these foreign bodies, leading to chronic activation of the immune system, resulting in inflammation. If this process happens in the metabolic system, the result can often be diabetes or weight gain. If it happens in the digestive tract, it could result in ulcers, IBS or Crohn’s disease.

The first step to healing naturally is to determine which foods are causing a negative reaction. It is important to note that sensitivities are different than allergies in that they can take up to 72 hours to show up. This is why food diaries are often ineffective.
