Pinelands Hosts Second Annual Summer Short Course In Hammonton

The second annual Pinelands Summer Short Course will be held July 19 at Kramer Hall in downtown Hammonton, and will feature seven field trips and a day of educational programs showcasing the region’s history, ecology, culture and music.

The event will feature a tour of a commercial blueberry farm, live music, a guided van tour to see dwarf pine forests and rare orchids, a presentation on winemaking in the garden State, a guided nature hike, a classroom presentation on the Battle of Chestnut Neck, a guided dragonfly walk at Batsto, an all-day van tour focusing on traditional industries in the Pinelands and many other programs.

Held during the peak of summer, when wildlife abounds, attendees can immerse themselves in all things Pinelands.
