Replenishing Your Life Through Hormone Therapy: “The Replenish Center is a wellness center. I can sit with my patients for 45 minutes to an hour and talk to them about identifying the root cause or causes of these issues.”

From the age of 12, Dr. Camille Semple-Daly knew she was going to deliver babies and take care of women. This childhood assurance was realized as she became a gynecologist and started her own practice, Access Women’s Health OBGYN. Her work eventually branched out into the Willingboro-based Replenish Center where she creates a comfortable environment for women and men while aiding them through the many issues that stem from hormonal imbalances.

“In 2004, I opened Access Women’s Health. I continued there for some time doing OBGYN as a solo practitioner and I loved it. But I started realizing that many women were suffering and I had no tools to help.”

In order to assist women with the suffering that stems from menopausal symptoms, Semple-Daly gained the necessary tools and never looked back. She opened the Replenish Center in 2006 that focuses on hormonal issues including hot flashes, insomnia, weight gain, fatigue, vaginal dryness, low libido and stress.

“The Replenish Center is a wellness center. I can sit with my patients for 45 minutes to an hour and talk to them about identifying the root cause or causes of these issues.”

For Semple-Daly, carefully identifying the symptoms and their roots is a vital step. A wholesome, complete treatment can only exist after evaluating each patient’s lifestyle, stressors and dietary choices.

She attests that many hormonal imbalance issues are caused by three factors: stress, nutrition, and exercise. However, it does take time for stress management, proper nutrition and regular exercise to reverse the negative effects of hormone imbalance. Therefore, those experiencing a decline in their quality of life can be placed on individualized hormone pellet therapy to achieve rapid balance in hormones. The effects of the pellet last about four to six months. Depending on the patient’s progress, the pellet therapy will either continue or the doctor will advise another route.

“We’re a bit unique when it comes to pellet therapy. Many people are trained to bring patients back at a certain date to receive their pellets again. Some people need it at that time, but many people don’t. So, we came up with a system to check with patients periodically to see how they’re feeling. Our therapy is so individualized, that we need to figure out what the best interval is for the patient, including the dosing. My ultimate goal is to eventually get everyone off the hormone therapy when their own bodies are able to supply their hormonal needs.”

For those with a weight problem, the Replenish Center’s Physician-Supervised Weight Management Program provides a comprehensive approach to help them overcome their difficulties. These plans help patients identify causes of their weight issues as well as help them to transition into a healthier lifestyle.

Although the Replenish Center’s focus is on hormonal therapy, Semple-Daly’s roots in OBGYN remain present in her practice. According to the Replenish Center website, her gentle gynecological practice “provides women with comprehensive healthcare services, including the prevention, diagnosis and management of a wide range of conditions.”

Semple-Daly and her patients create friendships through these visits that make treatment not only more meaningful, but more in-depth and thorough. Semple-Daly explains how she communicates with her patients: “I let her talk first, and she’s always rushing because she’s used to the conventional model where she only has two minutes to talk. I say to her, ‘What else, and what else?’ and when they finally open up it’s like the floodgates open, and I love it because that’s what I need in order to understand how best to help.”
