Pay As You Wish Day at The Rodin Museum
The Rodin Museum, a beloved cultural gemstone in a verdant setting along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, contains one of the largest collections outside of Paris of the works of Auguste Rodin (1840-1917), one of the great sculptors of all time. The garden around the iconic building showcases eight major works, including The Thinker and The Gates of Hell. Some of these celebrated bronzes occupy the same locations in which they were installed when the museum first opened in 1929. A seasonal pop-up, the Rodin Garden Bar will serve beer, wine, craft cocktails and tasty small plates on Friday evenings in the scenic garden (weather permitting). Enjoy a proper summer cocktail, and then cool off inside with works of art by the master sculptor Auguste Rodin. The Garden Bar is open every Friday through September 30 from 4:00 – 8:30 pm. Admission to the Rodin Museum is Pay What You Wish and admission to the Garden Bar, returning this summer, is free. For more information, visit rodinmuseum.org
