Come to the American Vegan Garden Party Sunday, May 26
The American Vegan
Society (AVS) is hosting a Garden Party from noon to 5 p.m. on May 26
at its headquarters in Malaga.
There will be an outdoor lunch, live music and presentations. In addition, books, T-shirts and more will be on sale in the AVS bookstore. The lunch at noon will include appetizers and will feature local produce. Attendees will enjoy vegan franks and chili, and will finish with vegan cheesecake and strawberries for dessert.
Marlene Howell and Lisa Melian will entertain guests with popular music and original pieces.
Saurabh Dalal will present “Investing Ethically to Fuel the Vegan Economy” and Seth “Tofurky” Tibbott will present “Vegan Food Products: Technologies and Trends.”
The AVS encourages people to explore the bounty of dining options from the plant kingdom for their pleasure and health, to reverse the rate of climate change and for a kinder world. AVS hosts events, publishes American Vegan magazine, offers membership, maintains a speakers bureau and runs the American Vegan Center in Philadelphia.
