Excitari Wellness Center, in Medford, will again welcome Michael “Mukti” Buck, from the Vedic Conservatory, on October 20 through 22 for a Thai Massage (for Table) Training. Vedic Thai bodywork is a wonderful addition for a massage therapist, yoga instructor or the skill set of other types of healers.   

This program will offer techniques and theories to provide a two-hour treatment, with protocols and additional fundamental lessons in supine, side-lying, seated and prone positions. Attendees will also learn Ayurvedic anatomical terminology and marmani, chakra and nadi channel body locations.  

Thai bodywork is rooted in Traditional Thai Medicine, which is comprised of five roots: internal medicine (primarily the medicinal use of herbs and minerals), external medicine (Thai bodywork), divinatory sciences, spiritual science and Buddhist medicine (psychological branch).  This sacred art provides increased peace of mind for the practitioner as well as the client.
