How to Stay Motivated to Exercise in Winter

Jan 31, 2023 08:45AM ● By Nancy Seigle

It can be tough to keep up a fitness routine during the winter. From freezing temperatures to shorter days, it’s normal to feel like staying indoors and skipping exercise.

Cassandra Orson, founder and creator of Forever Hart Fit, in Medford, Eastampton and Robbinsville, shares four ways to stay motivated and fit during the cold, dark winter months:

  • Find a workout buddy to help keep us accountable.
  • Have fun with exercise and mix it up. Try a dance class, for example. It will release happy endorphins.
  • Don’t feel overwhelmed, two to three times a week is all you need.
  • If it’s hard to be accountable, try working with a personal trainer.
