Class on Raising Backyard Chickens to Be Held in Oaklyn

The Basics of Raising Backyard Chickens in the Suburbs will be presented by Camden County Chickens and the Oaklyn Green Team from 7 to 9:30 p.m. (registration is at 6:30 p.m.) on March 24 at the Oaklyn Fire Department Community Room.

Attendees will learn how easy it is to set up a coop, select hens and care for them year-round, as well as the legal issues in their towns. It is legal in Oaklyn. This is the required class for towns with pilot programs and new ordinances to be able to get a license. Gwenne Baile, chair of Camden County Chickens, will be the presenter.
