Natural Awakenings South Jersey

WinterFest Ice Skating at Cooper River

Cooper River Park, in Cherry Hill, has once again transformed into a winter wonderland for WinterFest and will be open Thursday through Sunday (with special holiday hours) through February 17. This year’s event includes long-time crowd favorites like ice skating, hot drinks and tasty treats, as well as more recent additions including indoor arcade games and other outdoor family activities.

WinterFest has ice skating lessons for people of all ages and skill levels. Lessons are taught by professional ice skating instructor Jacqueline Barr and are held on Sunday from 9 to 10 a.m. Private lessons are also available upon request.

The Jersey Pinelands Curling Club (JPCC) will host introduction-to-curling opportunities for the general public. In each one-hour session, JPCC volunteers will give approximately 20 people brief lessons on basic curling skills.

Location: The corner of Cuthbert Boulevard and Park Drive (behind Crown Plaza). Free parking is available in parking lots on either side of the ice rink and on North Park Drive. For more information, including prices and times, visit CamdenCounty.com. For more information about ice skating lessons, contact Barr at [email protected].
