The HealThy Life fundraising event, dubbed the Qigong Sound Healing Experience, will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. onAugust 7 at Kenkojuku Karate, in Collingswood.

Lucia DiSimone—Usui reiki master, licensed massage therapist, certified aromatherapist, master sound healer and owner of the Nurtured Soul—will collaboratewith Ben Kipnis, of Eastern Harmony Healing, to support HealThy Life, a nonprofit that raises funds for cancer patients seeking alternative therapies. 

Kipnis will lead participants through a slow, gentle movement practice of tai chi and qigong with breathing and visualization techniques as DiSimonesupports the practice through vibrational sound healing to promote well-being; relaxation; and peace in body, mind and spirit. This journey of self-care is open to all, whether one is currently seeking cancer treatment or wants to show support for cancer patients and HealThy Life.
