At Pathways to Wellness, in Hainesport, clients can trust that their beloved pets are getting the most advanced care that utilizes an integrative protocol. The practice, owned by Dr. Lori Cobb, incorporates a number of alternative therapies including traditional and laser acupuncture, non-force chiropractic, herbal remedies, sports medicine and more.
Cobb has had an interest in acupuncture since graduating from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. In 2000, she formally pursued alternative medicine after witnessing Chinese herbs cure a soon-to-be euthanized horse after months of conventional therapy at her esteemed alma mater. In 2008, her mentor, Dr. Gloria Weintrub, often called the grandmother of alternative medicine, joined her in opening Pathways to Wellness.
By combining the conventional methods taught at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine with holistic alternatives learned after graduation, Cobb selects between the best of both worlds for the benefit of each individual patient.
The therapies treat a range of issues from pain management and allergies to infections and organ problems. Clients can expect a friendly, caring atmosphere and a personalized approach with up-to-date advice specific to the conditions facing their particular pet.
