Deborah Heart and Lung Center will host the ninth annual Women’s Health EXPO from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on February 9 at the Fountain of Life Center in, Burlington, New Jersey. 

A variety of Deborah physicians of various specialities will join with a host of other health professionals to provide health screenings to more than the 1,000 women expected to attend. 

“Bringing together the expertise of specialists in pulmonology, cardiology, endocrinology and diabetes, we can really offer our visitors a full picture of what it takes for a woman to stay ‘heart healthy,’” Dr. Palmer added. “We are really looking forward to the one-on-one time with our visitors.” 

Deborah’s staff will provide screenings including blood pressure, glucose, body fat analysis, pulmonary function testing, balance, cholesterol and lipid panels, sleep apnea, asthma information, peripheral arterial disease assessment, bariatrics, wound care and lung cancer information. Additionally, there will be posture screenings by Mount Laurel Chiropractic, colon cancer information from New Jersey Cancer and Education and Early Education, hearing screenings from Associates in Hearing Healthcare, sun damage assessments and HIV screenings by the Burlington County Health Department. 

In addition to screenings, the EXPO features a wide range of wellness, health and fitness activities for women of all ages including pampering massages and bodywork, yoga therapy, tai chi, mini-makeovers, jewelry making, fitness, entertainment and a wide variety of food samplings. 

Radio station B101 will be on hand with good tunes, prizes and giveaways. Additionally, dozens of door prizes, including Coach and Michael Kors purses, will be given out throughout the day.
