The Sanctuary for Yoga to Offer Four-Week Mindfulness Meditation for Beginners
Lori Volpi of The Sanctuary for Yoga invites you to join her at her Medford Village studio for a four-week Mindfulness Meditation Series, beginning at 7 p.m. on September 26. The series will run every Wednesday through October 17.
Volpi is an experienced registered yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance, and leads yoga sessions in various retreat settings for the Penn Program for Mindfulness (PPM) of the University of Pennsylvania, as well as at a Tibetan Buddhist monastery.
Mindfulness mediation offers a way to move out of the stress and endless to-do’s of modern living, and into a deeper connection with one's true self. The four-week series will provide an introduction to techniques that can help students manage stress and anxiety as well as cultivate a greater sense of well being. Clients interested in beginning a meditation practice can learn some important basics, including what mindfulness is and isn’t, how it may benefit you, how automatic pilot affects your life and how to become more awake and present. Each class will include a guided meditation, instruction and group discussion.
