The Willoughby House, in Deptford, invites you to cozy up by the fire and listen to Carl Ford discuss the Pine Barrens and Piney Tales starting at 2 p.m. on February 8.

Generations of Ford’s family have lived in the Pine Barrens since before the 1700s, dubbing him a Piney. His wealth of information comes from his own experiences as well as tales from his family and friends. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Ornamental Horticulture from Rutgers University, and is a graduate of their Environmental Stewards Program as well. He has been an active member of the Old Pine Farm Natural Lands Trust since 2002, and currently serves as the treasurer and stewardship chair.
