South Jersey Women Creating Transformational Change Through Impact100 Collective Giving Initiative

A group of South Jersey women are working to increase the philanthropic resources available to nonprofits in Burlington, Camden, Gloucester and Cumberland counties through an organization called Impact100 South Jersey, a global women’s collective giving initiative that combines the financial resources, expertise and talents of women who want to generate transformative change in their own communities. Impact100 South Jersey is currently recruiting members for its 2018 grant year, and will host its next membership information session at 8:30 a.m. on December 6 at the law firm of Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell and Hippel, LLP, in Cherry Hill.

Impact100 South Jersey launched in September with the goal of raising at least $100,000 to be donated to one organization their members choose democratically. It’s one of four organizations in New Jersey, but the only one exclusively focused on South Jersey.

“It’s important for us to have an impact where we live,” says Kyle Ruffin, founding council member for Impact100 South Jersey. “Our group is eager to support smaller organizations that compete for funding with larger, better-resourced organizations and non-profits in other regions.”
