Cooking Over an Open Fire and Potless Cooking at Willoughby House

Charles White will offer a Walk in the Wild on Sunday, December 17 at 2 p.m. at the Willoughby House, in Deptford, part of the Old Pine Farm Natural Lands Trust. He will demonstrate cooking over an open fire with cast iron pots as well as “potless” cooking to give participants an opportunity to sample the joy of simple cooking.  Recipes will also be available.

Self-described as an “old boy scout,” White’s love of the outdoors started early in the woods of Quebec and along Lake Ontario.  Since then, he has camped, hiked, canoed and kayaked throughout the Northeast, Southeast and Southwest, and organized and led many groups to venture into the outdoors.

Cost: Free. Location: Willoughby House, 340 Pine Ave., Deptford. For more information, call Charles White at 856-217-9138 or visit OldPineFarm.org.
