Biopuncture is a natural alternative to traditional pain management, used to treat pain caused by arthritis, tendonitis, sprains and various sports injuries.
Invented by Belgian physician Dr. Jan Kesschot, biopuncture has been used successfully in Europe for many years. A leading innovator of this therapy in the U.S. is Dr. Polina Karmazin, who trained extensively under Dr. Kesschot.
Biopuncture is considered a safe, healthy alternative to steroids, opioids and non-steroidal, anti-inflammatory medications. With biopuncture, the healing effect comes from “within” the patient’s body, as opposed to some conventional drugs that tend to simply suppress symptoms and may cause significant side effects.
During a typical customized treatment, the patient is injected with micro-doses of natural, FDA-regulated homeopathic products that stimulate the immune system to promote and regulate natural healing. Most of the products are made in Germany and all have very strict quality control regulations.
Injections are given under the skin or into the muscles using very thin needles so that minimal discomfort is experienced. Biopuncture is often combined with acupuncture.
