Hammonton’s Fermented Food & Beverage Supply, a local source for homebrew supplies, fermented food kits, books, demonstration classes and more, is celebrating its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on August 12 at 11 a.m.

The festivities include samples of fermented foods and beverages, and the first 100 customers receive a free raffle entry.

Store owners Eric Schmehl and Mica McCullough have been brewing beer and fermenting foods–including yogurts, kimchi, pickles and preserved lemons–for more than five years.

Schmehl notes that Fermented Food & Beverage Supply will appeal to a wide-range of fermentation fans, from seasoned experts to beginners. “We have the products and knowledge you need,” adds McCullough.

The store is open Thursday through Sunday. Hours of operation, upcoming classes and events are posted on their Facebook page.
