Learn to Feed Your Brain, First on August 23: Neurotransmitters are the chemicals in the brain that mediate mood and behavior.

Neurotransmitters are the chemicals in the brain that mediate mood and behavior. When they are in balance, so is the person; when they are depleted or out of balance, that person is likely to suffer from depression, anxiety, and more, asserts psychotherapist and mental health nutritionist Christina Veselak of Denver, Colorado.

Veselak explains how to create and rebuild neurotransmitters in “Feed Your Brain, First: Using Amino Acid and Nutrient Therapy to Effectively Address Depression, Anxiety, Insomnia and Addiction without Medication,” a free webinar on August 23, from 7 to 8 p.m.

Marlton’s Thermographic Diagnostic Imaging/Health through Awareness is sponsoring this event.

Veselak, who specializes in nutrition for emotional well-being and addiction recovery, says, “Amino acids such as Tyrosine, Gamma-Amino Butyric acid (GABA) and 5-Hydroxytryptophan (5HTP), available at vitamin stores, can help improve mood and well-being within 20 minutes.” Veselak notes that they may also decrease withdrawal symptoms and cravings for addictive substances.
