Inhabit: A Permaculture Perspective Screening July 20: The 2017 Green Challenge Film Fest continues July 20 with a free screening of the award-winning documentary, Inhabit: A Permaculture Perspective

The 2017 Green Challenge Film Fest continues July 20 with a free screening of the award-winning documentary, Inhabit: A Permaculture Perspective, at the Collingswood Community Center. The film is directed by Costa Boutsikaris.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the movie begins at 7. Organic popcorn and a door-prize drawing are included.

Permaculture Magazine Co-Founder and Editor Maddy Harland says the film is, “…a tour of best-practice permaculture: regenerative farms, suburban gardens, organic orchards, food forests, appropriate technology, inner-city regeneration in the poorest of communities, commercial mushroom production, flood mitigation...” The skills and knowledge to restore the Earth already exist, notes Harland, adding, “…it’s not only possible, it is already happening.”

A question-and-answer session with local permaculture pioneers follows the screening, which is sponsored by Oaklyn Green Team, Sustainable Collingswood and GMO Free NJ.

Registration is requested at BrownPaperTickets.com/event/2913715.

Collingswood Community Center is located at 30 West Collings Ave. For more information, call 856-425-2221, or visit GMOFreeNJ.com/events and Facebook.com/events/692973427541710.
