Prosperity – Kundalini-Style Meditation: It is extremely effective at removing blocks to prosperity and opening you up to receiving financial wealth, often from unexpected sources!

There’s a lot of confusion surrounding the idea of prosperity and it’s often misunderstood. For example, it’s easy to confuse the “trappings of wealth” with wealth itself and often we look outside of ourselves for fulfillment. The idea that “if only… I won the lottery or had money I could be happy” is self-defeating and limiting. We all have the ability to attract exactly what we need into our lives through the law of attraction: “As we put out, so shall we receive”. This idea manifests in the physical realm as Newton’s Third Law of Motion: “For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.”

Simply put, prosperity is a state of mind, an awareness that abundance is your natural state of being. When we understand that cultivating a connection to our own spiritual source places us in the divine flow of the universe, it creates a resonance of wealth.

In his new CD, Removing Obstacles, Harnam features a “Meditation for Removing Financial Blocks” that helps cut through any limiting beliefs which might be holding us back from our full potential. The mantra “Har” (meaning the creative aspect of infinity) is chanted aloud. According to Yogi Bhajan, This meditation stimulates the mind, the moon center and Jupiter. When Jupiter and the moon come together, there is no way in the world you will not create wealth.”

It is extremely effective at removing blocks to prosperity and opening you up to receiving financial wealth, often from unexpected sources! This practice helps cultivate will power associated with the Naval Center and moves energy through the body and your life. In fact, Yogi Bhajan even said, "This meditation can be done for up to 11 minutes. It’s so powerful in bringing prosperity that more than 11 minutes would be greedy."

To practice this meditation

Sit in an easy pose with a straight spine and relaxed shoulders. The chin is pulled slightly inward in jalandhar bandh (neck lock), creating a nice straight line with the head and the spine. The eyes are just barely open and focused on the tip of the nose. This stimulates the optic nerve and creates slight discomfort, but is an important part of the meditation, so do your best to maintain the focus throughout the meditation.

Your elbows are by the sides with the forearms are at a 45-degree angle with the fingertips at the level of the throat. The exercise begins with the palms facing down. Alternately, strike the sides of the hands together with each repetition of Har; when the palms are facing down, the sides of the Jupiter (index) fingers touch, and the thumbs cross below the hands, with the right thumb under the left thumb. The thumbs crossing in this way (right under left) is the key to this meditation. When the palms are face up, the Mercury (pinky) fingers and the Moon Mounds (located at the base of the palms) touch.

Chant Har powerfully and continuously from the navel for between three to 11 minutes. The tip of the tongue strikes the roof of the mouth with each Har, creating a sound like "hu-duh". When you reach the end inhale deeply, suspend the breath, exhale and repeat two more times. Relax and experience the resonance of wealth that is vibrating through your being. To expand the benefits, practice the meditation daily for 40, 80 or 120 days. To achieve complete mastery, continue for 1,000 days and completely transform your relationship to prosperity.

Harnam will be at Yoga for Living, in Cherry Hill, NJ, on July 8, teaching a Removing Obstacles Workshop from 2 to 4:30 p.m. and performing a Sacred Chant Concert from 7 to 9 p.m. For more information or to obtain tickets, visit YogaForLiving.net or HarnaMusic.com.
