The Sanctuary for Yoga Offers Kids Program

The Sanctuary for Yoga, in Medford, is offering classes for children of all ages this month. Joyce McNally, a yoga teacher certified to teach all ages by Jodi Komitor of Next Generation Yoga, will teach Sanctuary Little Kids Yoga for ages 2 to 5 from 9 to 10:15 a.m. Mondays, Sanctuary Big Kids Yoga for ages 6 and up from 6 to 7:15 Mondays and Sanctuary Teens Yoga (12 and up) from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Thursdays. The first two classes take place during a Vinyasa Flow adult class so parents and children can enjoy yoga at the same time.

Children live in a hurried world of busy parents, school pressures, incessant lessons and competitive sports. Although these activities can be fun, the bustling pace often leads to stress and can have a profound impact on their innate joy. Yoga can help counter these pressures. When children learn techniques for self-health, relaxation and inner fulfillment, they can navigate life’s challenges with a little more ease.

McNally is committed to her belief that all people are beautiful and seeks to share her message of self-love, self-care and positive thinking with children of all ages.

Cost: $10 drop-in rate or $80 for a 10-class card. Location: 43 S. Main St. For more information or to register (required), call 609-953-7800 or visit TheSanctuaryForYoga.com.
