Camden County Chickens will present The Basics of Raising Backyard Chickens in the Suburbs and City from 1 to 3:30 p.m., January 24, at the Camden County Parks Development Environmental Center, in Cherry Hill. Registration begins at 12:30 p.m. and the snow date is January 31.

Attendees will learn how easy it is to set up a coop, select hens and care for them year round. Legal issues in each town and what can be done about them will also be addressed. Speakers include the Chair of Philadelphia Backyard Chickens Maureen Breen and the Chair of Camden County Chickens Gwenne Baile.
