From Garden to Pantry Workshop
Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO)-Free New Jersey will present a From Garden to Pantry, Preserving the Harvest workshop from 9 a.m. to noon, October 3, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, in Collingswood.
Participants will learn the water bath canning method with Gwenne Baile and lacto-fermentation with Keith Monahan and Barbara Thomas, bringing them closer to food sovereignty. Each student will bring home a jar of applesauce and Korean kimchi.
Workshop participants should bring an apron, a paring knife and a hair tie or bandana to the event.
