Yoga Center of Medford Honors Women’s Wellness
The Yoga Center of Medford will add three new classes to their schedule. As part of its focus on women’s wellness and to follow its Prenatal Yoga Program, the center is offering a Postnatal Pilates Reformer Program, designed to strengthen, sculpt and shape the body to help new mothers get back in shape after the birth of their child. Special discounts are available for this program. Goddess Groove will be added Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m., with shape-shifting movements that enhance self-awareness and personal expression and stimulate the core, brain, energy centers and emotions. Owner Alaine Portner will lead Meditation Basics, a group-consciousness experience, at 7:15 p.m., May 31. The meditation experience is intended to teach participants how to gain balanced mindlessness and find clarity despite life’s everyday dramas.
Center instructors and students are united as a community that fosters a sense of self-appreciation, inner power and physical well-being. Classes include yoga, meditation and pranayama, mat Pilates and Pilates Reformer as well as barre and dance classes. Workshops are also presented.
