Sustainable Cherry Hill Community Leadership Workshop

The nonprofit Sustainable Cherry Hill (SCH) will host a weekend workshop, May 11 and 12, to help area residents build a sense of community and gain the leadership skills necessary to become community activists and leaders, as well as create outreach strategies and develop a collective vision of sustainability for our region. The weekend includes a dinner at Croft Farm Friday night and a light breakfast and interactive programs Saturday at Trinity Presbyterian Church. The weekend is a perfect opportunity to meet other community activists and learn about community-run task forces, as well as to share ideas.

Each participant can choose one of the following interactive tracks: (1) Leadership Training, which will offer activities, tips and tools to help participants inspire, organize, and manage; (2) Community Outreach, which will help activists address the challenge of recruiting others to become involved in sustainability both individually and collectively; and (3) Creating a Vision, which will enable to chart a path for Sustainable Cherry Hill and other communities.

Cost: Free. Locations: Historic Croft Farm, 100 Borton Mill-Evans Mill Rd.; Trinity Presbyterian Church, 99 Marlton Pike (Rte. 70) E. Required pre-registration can be completed at Conta.cc/youincommunity. For more information, call 609-238-3449.
