Natural Awakenings South Jersey

Victory Garden Boxes Promote Growing Your Own

Over the past nine years Lawn Cuttery, LLC, has been delivering quality landscaping services to South Jersey. Recognizing the need to make lawn space productive, owner Tim Rowe conceptualized Garden of Eden, a company with a mission to make lawns sustainable, while simultaneously aiding disadvantaged communities.

Rowe and longtime friend Austin Thomas created Victory Garden Boxes as a means to promote sustainability in the yard. Garden of Eden provides installations of the boxes, which are made from renewable and sustainable resources, and offers garden tending services, empowering South Jersey communities with, 100-percent organic, garden fresh produce from their own back yard. The new business aims to reignite the culture of the historical Victory Gardens era, when people harvested up to 40 percent of their produce from their own gardens.

The Victory Garden Box program also contains an element of community outreach. By adopting the One-for-One Movement, Garden of Eden has committed to providing a Camden resident, living in a virtual desert for healthy food, with a free Victory Garden Box every time one is purchased in the suburbs. A Victory Garden Box saves its owner time and money and gives them the peace of mind that they are eating something safe and healthy, while also helping someone in need.
