Free Chiropractic Care for Veterans

As hundreds of U.S. military members return from the war ending in Iraq to their homes in New Jersey, the Association of New Jersey Chiropractors (ANJC), is offering veterans free chiropractic care as part of their Healing Hands for Heroes campaign.

The program launched last April in conjunction with the U.S Army community outreach program. Since April, ANJC participating doctors have been administering free treatments to veterans returning from the Afghanistan and Iraq wars. The outreach program was designed to raise awareness of the unique challenges of military life on service members and their families and to address the growing need for accessible health services. The program has been well received by many veterans in New Jersey.

Dr. Sylvia Bidwell is one of the participating doctors. She has treated several veterans from the joint bases McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst. “This has been a rewarding experience for me,” Bidwell comments. “I have treated veterans that have suffered from lower back problems, as well as knee problems, headaches and cervical ailments. These young women and men are heroes, risking their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan to protect our country. It is very rewarding to be able to give them something back.”

Bidwell Chiropractic is located at 212 W. Rte. 38, Ste. 100, Moorestown. For more information, 856-273-1551 or visit Bidwell-Chiropractic.com.
