Yoga Full Food Drive

As part of its ongoing mission to create peaceful balance for students on a personal level as well as within the community, the Yoga Center of Medford began their Yoga Full food drive on November 28. Non-perishable food items will be collected at the Center through December 13 and will go to support the families of the Sacred Heart Church in Camden, the second poorest city in the United States.

A supportive community of instructors and students in a nurturing environment, the Yoga Center of Medford offers a wide variety of classes and workshops for all levels and abilities. In addition to supporting two Holiday Yoga Full Food Drives, the Center supports the community with a variety of different initiatives throughout the year. These include offering a free class on the first Sunday of every month, as well as sponsoring a Happy Tails Yoga Class which raises money for the NJSPCA. Initiatives for breast cancer awareness include walking as a team at the Cooper River Park in conjunction with the American Cancer Society, participating in Yoga on the Steps at the Philadelphia Art Museum each spring, and the creation of a new form of yoga designed exclusively for women Living Beyond Breast Cancer (LBBC), which focuses on empowering all women affected by breast cancer to live long, healthy lives.

Location: Medford Plaza, 128 Rt. 70 at Hartford Rd., Medford. For additional information, call 609-654-9400, email [email protected] or visit YogaCenterOfMedford.com.
