Organic Vegetable Production Workshop

Sustainable Cherry Hill’s Gardening Taskforce presents an Organic Vegetable Production Workshop on April 16 from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Universalist Unitarian Church of Cherry Hill.

Taught by NOFA-NJ Instructor, Al Johnson, workshop attendees will learn the building blocks for a productive, healthy organic garden. Appropriate for first-time gardeners or those beginning organic gardening, workshop topics include picking the garden location and planning the beds, soil health and preparation, seeding and transplanting, home care for diseases and pests and harvesting the produce.

NOFA (The Northeast Organic Farming Association) of New Jersey is an association of farmers, gardeners, land care professionals and consumers creating a sustainable and resilient agricultural system in New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania. Through educational workshops, advocacy for fair food policy and technical assistance, NOFA-NJ promotes a just, safe and productive regional food system.
