Mystic Ginger—an apothecary, hair studio and boutique in Blackwood—is hosting an Herbal Class Series with owner, herbalist Kellie D’Ascenzo, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., March 9, April 6, May 11 and June 8. Three sessions will be held in their community space and one will be a forest walk and outdoor classroom experience. Limited space is available.

The series will include medicinal and magical herbalism, hands-on herb crafting, medicinal remedies, salve making, herbal skin care, crafting teas/infusions, a forest walk and wildcrafting. All supplies/ingredients will be provided for each class, including an herb journal for materia medica and recipes.

Handcrafted herbal remedies line the shelves at Mystic Ginger, says D’Ascenzo. “Apothecary products are handmade utilizing traditional folk herbalism methods, with botanicals that are organic, homegrown and wild harvested; with sustainable ingredients and eco-friendly packaging,” she explains. “The studio is also a workshop space that hosts multiple events and unique classes each month.”
