Emrys of Hawthorn Grove (BTW) is offering a 2-day (Sat. & Sun. 11am to 4:30pm) weekend intensive Introduction to Tarot course. Sessions will cover the basic interpretation of all 78 cards (both Major and Minor Arcana), teach a number of layouts, and include practice time. The course is intended for novice readers, and will not cover more advanced esoteric aspects of the cards (i.e., Kabbalistic and Astrological). The primary teaching deck for the course will be the Universal Rider-Waite-Smith deck. Students are encouraged to use that deck, or one based on it such as the Robin Wood, Hanson-Roberts, Caselli, or Universal Tarot.

Course fee will cover venue costs, handouts and one private reading by Emrys outside of the class.

Emrys is the High Priest of Hawthorn Grove, a British Traditional Wiccan (BTW) study group overseen by a lineaged Gardnerian / Alexandrian coven. He has been an active Tarot card reader and teacher for over 30 years. He also co-teaches the Introduction to Wicca course periodically offered at Just Breathe.
